Not quite finished, but close. Working on updating some of my tools. Still finding some time for some fab work. I should have progress pics up by the end of the weekend.
Been away for awhile. Finally built a new shop. Built a 30X40 garage in the back yard. Half is for the daily drivers and the other half is for my projects. I will post pics in next few days. A few things in the works to break the shop in over the winter. Details to come. Later.
I have always wanted to try wire lacing. Ater we started wiring Travis' Pan, we realized that we needed some way to hold the tail light wiring on the chainstay. Travis is always cool about new ideas. So we gave it shot. I think that it turned out really well. I will definitely try it out on the next rod project.
The powdercoat is back and the chrome is back. The chrome is beautiful. But the most exciting thing is the paint. Chicago Chris is an artist. Enjoy the pics.
Had a chance to go to the Indy World of Wheels. I would say that this year was better than years past. Road Rockets 1962 Autorama was great as usual. I really dug the '30 Ford 5-window by Jo Kerr. I didn't have a chance to meet Jo and ask him. But it appeared that there quite a few one-off custom cast parts. Very cool.
Been busy working on the final mock-up for Travis' Pan. It's been going pretty well, only few issues. We had to fab up a custom clutch lever, modify foward controls and other odds and ends. After some discussion, we decided not to tackle the paint. Travis had hooked up with "Chicago Chris" on the Jockey Journal. After checking out his blog and talking price. Travis has decided to let Chris do the paint. Check out pics from Chris' blog. http://paintbychris.blogspot.com/
This is Nao's bike. I actually first saw this tank on Mullins Chain Drive website. I always wondered where it might end up. I know that Brandon fabbed it, Max Schaaf painted it and Nao owns it. Nao is from Japan. Check out Nao's blog. Later. I've had the pics for a while, I forget who I got them from. Thanks anyway. http://psychowheels.blogspot.com/
